This doesn\u2019t mean there are no consequences. <strong>Financial penalties<\/strong> still apply:<\/p><ul><li>The drawer (the person who issued the cheque) may face a fine ranging from <strong>AED 2,000 to AED 10,000<\/strong>.<\/li><li>The beneficiary (the person who the bounced cheque is drawn in its favor) can still pursue civil claims for the cheque amount.<\/li><\/ul><p>Criminal cases may arise if:<\/p><ul><li>The drawer instructs the bank not to cash the cheque before the due date.<\/li><li>The account is closed, or the available balance is withdrawn before the cheque\u2019s due date.<\/li><li>The cheque is deliberately signed inaccurately.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n        \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5223ed6 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"5223ed6\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0bf3e79 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"0bf3e79\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2014a28 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2014a28\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2. Enforcement Proceedings<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-85f6a83 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"85f6a83\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b487a5d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b487a5d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t        <div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p>While criminal charges are no longer automatic, when a cheque is returned unpaid for certain reasons, for example \u201cinsufficient balance in account\u201d, the beneficiary is entitled to pursue direct <strong>enforcement proceedings<\/strong>.<\/p><ul><li>The beneficiary may file an execution case seeking to force recover the face value of the cheque.<\/li><li>The proceeding will entitle the beneficiary to secure court orders to freeze and recover cash held in the drawer\u2019s bank accounts, attach and force sale real estate properties owned by the drawer, attach and force sale drawers\u2019 shares listed in market, ban drawer from traveling and take many other actions to recover assets held by the drawer or to apply pressure on the drawer.<\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n        \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6d8968b e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"6d8968b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-05991ee e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"05991ee\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;background_background&quot;:&quot;classic&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dd791eb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"dd791eb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">3.
